The Dow Jones Industrial Average led the advance, closing up 1.08% at 52,178. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite rose 0.08% to end the day at 26,713. In digital assets, major tokens held modest gains over the last 24 hours. Bitcoin is trading at $82,284, higher by 0.68%. Ethereum stands at $2,458, showing an advance of 1.56%. Over in the foreign exchange market, currency pairs held flat on the day. The euro against the US dollar trades at 1.1180, unchanged at 0.0%. The dollar against the Japanese yen sits at 158.31, also flat at 0.0%. In commodities, energy and precious metals both pushed higher. West Texas Intermediate crude oil gained 2.47% to reach $96.22 a barrel. Gold advanced 2.05%, crossing higher to stand at $4,192 per ounce.
